THE THIRD CENTRE FOR ICT IN THE VALAIS
TeleArk focuses on information and communication technology (ICT).
This technology site, which is still being developed, supports start-ups and established companies working within ICT, more specifically those working on platforms oriented toward the usability of semantic technology and knowledge management. It provides them with appropriate services and facilities, to ease their transition towards industrial production.
TeleArk is situated in Brig, close to two distance learning organisations, the Fernfachhochschule Schweiz (FFH) and Universitäre Fernstudien Schweiz (FS-CH). Both have departments which conduct research in the fields of e-learning, knowledge management and ICT (particularly semantics and ontology).
